Warning - Avoid Scams
BEWARE OF INTERNET SCAMS WHEN BUYING A LIMO, BUS, OR OTHER VEHICLE!
Unfortunately, scam artists have proliferated across the Internet in an attempt to swindle you out of your hard earned money. We would like to offer a few pointers when buying and selling using the Internet. While we do try to make it easier for buyers and sellers to find each other, we do not accept any liability for any scam artists who may use this website or others to carry out their scams.
BUYING A LIMOUSINE, BUS, OR OTHER VEHICLE
Buyer beware! Buyers should do their due diligence when purchasing a used limousine, bus, or other vehicle. Use services such as Carfax to review the history of a vehicle. View the vehicle in person and have it checked out by an ASE mechanic or certified dealer or independent shop before making an offer or payment. On most used (and even many new) limousines, buses and custom cars there is no warranty offered. With no warranty, it is extremely important to check out the vehicle thouroughly before making an offer or paying a deposit. Avoid schemes offering you a check in an amount larger than the price of the vehicle and asking for a refund of the difference. In these cases, the difference is refunded only to find out that the original check was a counterfeit.
SELLING A LIMOUSINE, BUS, OR OTHER VEHICLE
We hope our service has made it easier for your to sell your limousine, bus or other vehicle. We'd like for you to take a few precautions while you complete your deal. Many scam artists target dealers and invididuals alike. Beware the fake cashier's check! Be sure the payment is legitimate before you sign over title and ownership to a buyer. Confirm with a phone call to the issuing bank that the cashier's check is real and valid. A check can be deposited and reflected in your balance today, only to be found out that it is counterfeit a few days later! Validate the funds! Have the purchaser wire the funds directly to your account, and confirm with your own bank that the transaction is legitimate. Always use a bill of sale and make a copy of the purchaser's government-issued identification for your records.
